SBR Rubber Sheets from Zenith
In industrial terminology, SBR rubber is known as a general-purpose rubber. It is a classic, smooth rubber that forms a fundamental material for the modern rubber processing industry. The term general-purpose rubber accurately reflects its versatility and widespread use across many industrial sectors and everyday applications.
Zenith Rubber is a well-established global manufacturer of rubber products. For many years, the company has been supplying materials that combine high manufacturing quality with precision and durability. Thanks to advanced production technologies and rigorous quality control, the Zenith brand has become synonymous with reliability and professionalism in the rubber industry. Its products are often chosen by customers seeking top-quality rubber for demanding, safety-critical applications.
Zenith SBR rubber sheets are manufactured from high-quality styrene-butadiene rubber. In SCP’s range, they are available in rolls with thicknesses from 1 to 10 mm and standard widths of 1.2 and 1.4 meters.
Designed for use in neutral chemical environments, SBR sheets are used in almost all branches of industry. They represent a cost-effective alternative to materials with increased abrasion resistance. Being non-absorbent and non-hygroscopic, they provide an excellent base material for static solutions – including pads, bumpers, spacers, plow blades, scrapers, as well as guards and aprons in the mining industry.
SBR rubber sheets can be used both as finished products and as semi-finished materials. Typical applications include rubber mats for workbenches, cable protection covers, floor linings in production halls and warehouses, as well as sound-dampening and anti-slip elements. The material also performs well in the production of seals, washers, aprons, cutting edges, plugs and bumpers.
Individual customers often use SBR sheets to protect workbench tops and garage or basement floors from damage, scratches and noise. Owing to their sound-dampening properties, these sheets are also an economical solution for reducing noise in workshop furniture – such as racks, drawers and shelves.
Application conditions and limitations
SBR sheets are intended for indoor use. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and ozone should be avoided. The material is not resistant to acids, alkalis or petroleum-based products. Before use in specific chemical environments, we recommend testing the material under actual operating conditions.
