Regranulat 1050 – SBR rubber granulate puzzle mat

Regranulat Puzzle 1050 SCP Select is a flexible mat made of interlocking puzzle tiles, manufactured from SBR rubber granulate bonded with a polyurethane binder. Each tile is produced from finely ground rubber particles which, after compression, form a dense yet resilient structure with a density of approx. 1050 kg/m³. The polyurethane binder acts as a durable “glue” between the rubber granules, allowing the mat to maintain its elasticity while offering very good resistance to mechanical damage. This construction provides good impact absorption, effective noise and vibration damping, and increased resistance to intensive use compared to classic solid rubber products. The puzzle format makes it easy to install, adjust and, if necessary, dismantle the mat on a selected surface, without the need to cut whole rolls.

In the case of mats made from rubber regranulate, as the material density increases, the surface becomes smoother and the structure more compact. Higher density also usually translates into a more aesthetically pleasing appearance of the product. For this reason, lower‑density mats are mainly used in industrial environments as underlays or bottom layers, while higher‑density mats are used in commercial facilities, such as fitness studios. In the puzzle version, this form allows the layout to be easily adapted to the shape of the room and enables gradual expansion or modification of the protected area.

Regranulat Puzzle 1050 has been designed as a product with highly versatile applications. It works well as a surface in fitness zones, gyms and training rooms, where it cushions impacts and reduces noise generated when weights are put down – the granulate structure acts as an elastic layer that absorbs impact energy and reduces the transfer of vibrations into the building structure. It can be used as a vibration‑insulating mat under machines and equipment, as a mat in warehouse, workshop and logistics areas, as well as a protective underlay for floors in vehicle loading spaces or at workstations where the floor requires additional protection. The granulate structure provides good grip and helps to mask minor dirt and traces of use – any micro‑damage is less visible than on a completely smooth solid rubber surface. Despite its relatively smooth, uniform surface, the puzzle mat offers very good anti‑slip properties for both sports and safety footwear, which is particularly important in training zones and at workstations.

Conditions of use and limitations

Regranulat 1050, as a material based on SBR rubber granulate, is intended primarily for use in chemically neutral environments. It is not recommended for long‑term contact with oils, fuels, greases or aggressive chemicals – in such applications, products with increased chemical resistance should be considered. The puzzle mat can be used indoors and in sheltered areas; when exposed to weather conditions, the natural ageing process of the rubber and polyurethane binder must be taken into account.

Thanks to its density of approx. 1050 kg/m³, Regranulat Puzzle 1050 offers a favourable balance between weight, flexibility and durability – it is suitable for intensive use, although in areas with very heavy traffic or under heavy machinery it is advisable to consider partial or full fixing of the tiles (e.g. by edging or bonding). Like any industrial rubber‑based product, it may have a noticeable smell immediately after unpacking, which gradually diminishes over time with adequate ventilation.
