EPDM Rubber Sheets from Zenith
In industrial terminology, EPDM rubber sheets are known as weather-resistant or, more informally, acid-resistant rubber. They are produced through the vulcanization of ethylene-propylene-diene monomer EPDM rubber – a synthetic material recognized for its resistance to weathering, ozone, UV radiation, as well as hot water and steam.
Zenith Rubber is a well-established global manufacturer of rubber products. For many years, the company has been supplying materials that combine high manufacturing quality with precision and durability. Thanks to advanced production technologies and rigorous quality control, the Zenith brand has become synonymous with reliability and professionalism in the rubber industry. The manufacturer’s products are often chosen by customers seeking top-quality rubber for demanding, safety-critical applications.
SCP offers Zenith EPDM rubber sheets in a wide range of thicknesses – from 1 to 10 mm – supplied in rolls with standard widths of 1.2 and 1.4 meters. EPDM rubber sheets are characterized by their resistance to ageing, UV radiation, and ozone, which makes them particularly suitable for outdoor use and operation in variable weather conditions.
Thanks to their versatile physicochemical properties, EPDM rubbers in various forms are used across many industrial sectors, including construction – for example, as roof and terrace sealing, gasket and spacer material, and insulation sheets. EPDM sheets are also applied in water and heating installations – due to their resistance to hot water and steam – as well as in agriculture and horticulture, where they serve as durable and flexible outdoor sealing and protective rubber.
EPDM sheets are frequently used as base components in agricultural machinery and municipal service vehicles, where both resistance to acidic and alkaline substances and the capability to operate in weather-exposed environments are required. Due to their flexibility, EPDM sheets are easy to cut and form, allowing quick adjustment to individual technical requirements; they can be conveniently trimmed with a standard utility knife.
Application conditions and limitations
The abrasion resistance and mechanical durability of EPDM sheets are comparable to SBR and NBR materials, while additionally offering increased resistance to acids, alkalis, alcohols, boiling water, and steam. Unlike NBR sheets, EPDM is not recommended for contact with mineral oils and greases – in such cases, NBR sheets remain the preferred choice.Baza-pod-tlumaczenia-B2B.docx
Zenith EPDM rubber sheets maintain stable properties within a wide temperature range – from –30°C to +90°C. White Zenith EPDM sheets with FDA certification offer an even broader temperature range – from –30°C to +140°C.
