Checker SBR – checker rubber flooring 3 mm Zenith (Odin Eco)

Checker SBR / Zenith Odin Eco is a vulcanised rubber flooring with a characteristic checker pattern, intended for industrial, technical and commercial applications. It is manufactured from SBR synthetic rubber, which offers a good balance between mechanical strength, elasticity and cost efficiency. The working surface is formed into a regular raised checker “plate” pattern, creating a dense field of contact points with footwear. This structure improves multi-directional traction and gives the surface a distinctly technical, industrial look. At a thickness of 3 mm, the flooring remains flexible enough to provide basic noise and vibration damping, while at the same time being resistant to typical in-service loads and wear in everyday use.

The checker structure consists of a raised pattern on the top surface and a fine cloth impression on the reverse side, which improves adhesion to the substrate and facilitates permanent bonding where required. The Zenith Odin Eco variant offered by SCP is supplied in rolls 1.6 m wide and 10 m long, allowing large areas to be covered quickly with a minimal number of joints. The flooring can be cut to size with a utility knife, both as continuous runners in traffic routes and as individual panels for workstations, ramps, platforms or storage zones. The checker pattern also helps to disguise minor soiling and signs of wear, while the surface itself is easy to maintain – it can be swept, vacuumed or wet-cleaned.

Thanks to this construction, Checker SBR performs well as a protective, anti-slip covering on concrete floors in workshops, warehouses, production halls, garages, service areas and in traffic routes or entrance zones. It can be used as loose-lay matting installed on existing floors or as a permanently bonded flooring solution in areas with higher pedestrian traffic or light wheeled traffic. The vulcanised SBR rubber provides good resistance to abrasion and impact, protects the substrate against scratches and point damage, and at the same time improves user comfort by providing basic attenuation of vibrations and footstep noise.
