RUBBER SHEETS
Rubber sheets are the largest sales product group offered by SCP. We always hold a very large stock of vulcanised sheets from various rubber compounds. We also own one of the largest wholesale warehouses of rubber sheets in Poland.
TYPES OF RUBBER SHEETS
SBR SHEETS
The main parts of our stock are SBR rubber sheets (made from stryrene butadiene rubber). Those are often called general purpose industrial sheets and casually referred to as standard rubber. SBR rubber sheets are the most common products in our sales offer. Their popularity is a result of the high technical application versatility of this compound and its low prices. Sheets of SBR rubber function well as a relatively cheap production material. They are used for manufacturing of static seals and vibration dampeningwashers or other small rubber parts. Unprocessed sheets are often employed as acoustic insulation,noise dampening inserts i.e. in partition walls, rubber shock absorbers and shielding covers. Typical household applications of SBR rubber sheetsis their use as spillage protection on floors, dishwasher and washing machine undelays or workbench tops.
NBR SHEETS
More expensive, NBR sheets – vulcanized from a mixture of nitrile butadiene rubber make up the second most popular group of products in our offer. NBR sheets are generally referred to as oil-resistant rubber or simply nitrile rubber. Those names originate fromits high endurance to greases and mineral oils. NBR rubber sheeting is mostly used in indoor applications involving contact with paraffin, oils, petroleum products, mineral lubricants and solvents. Similarly, to styrene rubber they are most utilized in machine industry, automotive sector and garages – places where their resistance to oil is most useful. It is important to mentionthat the degree of oil resistance will vary depending on the chemical make up of the oil they come into contact with. Consequentiallywe always advise for customers to conduct resistance tests prior to the actual use within the final application.
EPDM SHEETS
The third most popular category of rubberwidely stocked in our warehouse are EPDM sheets. Manufactured from mixtures of ethylene propylene diene monomers, are destined for outdoor applications and carry the widest range of resistance characteristics. EPDM sheets are not only resistant to ozone and UV rays, but also perform well in high temperatures and steamy conditions. They age very well and retain their elasticity at extremely low temperature ranges. EPDM sheets are used in applications that require good physical properties when in contact with mineral acids, aggressive detergents, alcohol or glycol.

In addition to the above-mentioned SCP’s offer includes also chloroprene CR rubber, natural NR latex – also with FDA’s consumables contact approvals, FKM viton, silicone and porous EPDM sheeting.
Our stock has rubber sheets available in thicknesses between 1 and 50 mm. Depending on the size those are supplied in individual sheets or in rolls. We offer plain rubber sheets or rubber reinforced with textile cotton ply inserts.
