Regranulat 950 – Anti-slip SBR rubber granulate mat

Regranulat 950 SCP Select is a flexible roll mat made of SBR rubber granulate bonded with a polyurethane binder. The mat is produced from finely ground rubber particles which, after compression, form a dense yet resilient structure with a density of approximately 950 kg/m³. The polyurethane binder acts as a durable “glue” between the rubber granules, allowing the material to retain its flexibility while providing good resistance to mechanical damage, abrasion and everyday use. This construction ensures effective vibration and noise damping, reduces the transfer of vibrations to the substrate and improves the comfort of using the surface. The mat is supplied in rolls, making it easy to cover larger areas quickly and cut strips to the dimensions required for a particular installation area.

In mats made from rubber regranulate, the surface becomes smoother and the structure more compact as the material density increases. A density of approximately 950 kg/m³ provides an intermediate solution between more porous universal mats and denser surfaces intended for intensively used training areas. The use of a carefully selected rubber-granulate fraction makes it possible to achieve a material with a compact structure, good functional properties and an aesthetically pleasing appearance. Regranulat 950 performs well wherever anti-slip properties, floor protection and easy adjustment of the material to an existing surface are important.

Regranulat 950 has been designed as a versatile protective and anti-slip mat. It can be used in walkways, passageways, entrance zones, utility rooms, workshops, warehouses, technical back-of-house areas and workstations requiring additional floor protection. It is also suitable as a protective layer beneath lightweight equipment, machinery, shelving or furnishing elements that could otherwise cause scratches, signs of use or point loads on the floor. The resilient granulate structure helps reduce direct contact between hard objects and the substrate and partially dampens vibrations generated during the everyday operation of equipment.

The surface of the mat provides good grip for work and sports footwear, which is important in areas with an increased risk of slipping. The granulate structure also helps to conceal minor dirt and normal signs of use. Any micro-damage is generally less visible than on completely smooth rubber surfaces. The mat can be used as an independent protective layer or as a supplement to an existing floor in areas particularly exposed to wear.

Conditions of use and limitations

Regranulat 950, as a material based on SBR rubber granulate, is intended mainly for use in chemically neutral environments. Prolonged contact with oils, fuels, greases or aggressive chemicals is not recommended. In areas regularly exposed to such substances, materials with increased chemical resistance should be considered. The mat can be used indoors and in sheltered spaces. In the case of continuous exposure to weather conditions, the natural ageing process of the rubber and polyurethane binder should be taken into account.

With a density of approximately 950 kg/m³, the mat offers a favourable balance between its own weight, flexibility, compact structure and durability. It is suitable for everyday use in protective, anti-slip and technical applications. In areas with very heavy traffic, where heavy equipment is moved or beneath machinery that generates strong vibrations, partial or full bonding of the mat to the substrate should be considered. Like any industrial rubber-based product, the mat may have a noticeable odour immediately after unpacking. With adequate ventilation, this odour gradually decreases over time.
